Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-08
1. Who we are and what this covers
Ben Katzenberg, doing business as Bloomly Studios, doing business as Bloomly ("we", "us"), is based in New Jersey. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you:
- visit our website (https://app.bloomlystudios.com) or contact us;
- are a business we might work with, including when we visit you or prepare a free website preview for you;
- are one of our clients or their staff using Bloomly;
- are a customer of one of our clients, and that business keeps your details in Bloomly, sends you a link from it, or receives your inquiry through a website we host.
For that last group, the business you dealt with decides how your information is used, and we act as its service provider. Their privacy notice applies too. Questions about their records are best sent to them, but we'll help if you contact us.
2. What we collect
| About | What | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Businesses we may work with | Business name, address, phone, website, category, hours, Google rating and review count, public photos and text from the business's website, and notes from our conversations. | Google business listings, the business's own website, and you. |
| Clients and their staff | Name, email, phone, sign-in details (passwords are stored only in scrambled, hashed form), business details, logo and photos, preferences, requests you send us, and billing details. Card numbers go to Stripe, not us. | You and Stripe. |
| Our clients' customers | Name, phone, email, address, the message or request you sent, appointments, estimates, invoices and payments, notes the business adds, review requests and whether the link was opened. If the business uses call answering, also call recordings and transcripts. | The website form you filled in, the business, or the call you made. |
| Website visitors and anyone signing in | IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time, used for security, limiting abuse and fixing errors. | Your browser, automatically. |
We don't knowingly collect sensitive information such as health records, Social Security numbers, or financial account numbers. We ask businesses not to enter it.
3. How we use it
- To build, host and support websites and to run Bloomly, including sign-in, keeping each business's records separate, and showing a business its own inquiries, schedule and money.
- To prepare free website previews for businesses we'd like to work with, using public information about the business.
- To bill for our services.
- To answer questions and requests.
- To keep things secure: detecting misuse, limiting repeated attempts, keeping a record of changes our staff make in a client's account, and fixing errors.
- To meet legal duties and enforce our agreements.
- To improve our services, using information about how features are used. We don't use our clients' customer records to market our own services to those customers.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. We don't share it for targeted advertising, and we don't use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on anyone. We share information only:
- with the service providers below, who handle it for us under contract and only to provide their service;
- with the business you dealt with, for its own customers' records;
- when the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights;
- with a company that takes over Bloomly, which must keep this policy's promises.
| Provider | What they do for us | Location |
|---|---|---|

| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting and security for client websites, domain name service | United States and global network |
| Stripe, Inc. | Subscription billing and card payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us) | United States |
| Google LLC | Public business listings (Places) for preparing website previews; Google Maps when you open directions | United States |
| OpenAI, L.L.C.; Google LLC (Gemini); Groq, Inc. | Writing and checking website preview drafts from public business information only | United States |
| Retell AI, Inc. | Answering phone calls for clients who turn on call answering (caller number, call recording and transcript) | United States |
| Geoapify GmbH; U.S. Census Bureau; OpenStreetMap Foundation (Nominatim) | Turning an address into a map location, only when a user asks | Germany and United States |
| OpenFreeMap; Project OSRM | Map images and approximate driving routes (locations rounded to about 100 meters) | European Union |
| National Weather Service (U.S. government) | Weather forecasts for an approximate location | United States |
We'll update this list before adding a provider that handles client customer records.
The AI writing tools receive only public information about a business, such as its website text and business listing. They do not receive our clients' customer records.
5. Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery. Your browser also remembers display choices, such as light or dark mode. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. See the Cookie Notice.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| A client's account and its business records | While the account is active, then 30 days to download, then deleted within 60 more days. Backups roll off on their own schedule. |
| Billing records | 7 years, for tax and accounting rules. |
| Information about businesses we may work with | Up to 2 years after our last contact, or sooner if you ask. |
| Security logs and sign-in attempt records | Up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a problem. |
| The record of changes our staff make in a client's account | While the account is active, so the client can see it. |
| Call recordings and transcripts | As long as the client keeps them, and deleted with the account. |
7. How we protect it
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Passwords stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, with limits on repeated sign-in attempts and sessions that time out.
- Each business can see only its own records.
- Protection against forged form submissions.
- A log of changes our staff make inside a client's account.
- Regular backups.
- Access for our own staff only when it's needed.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as New Jersey law requires, and we'll tell affected clients without undue delay.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we have your personal information, and give you a copy you can take elsewhere;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it.
You can also opt out of sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We don't do these, but you can still ask.
To make a request, email hello@bloomlystudios.com.
- We'll confirm your identity in a reasonable way before acting.
- We'll answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why; the law allows one 45-day extension.
- We won't treat you differently for making a request.
- You can use an authorized agent.
If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject. We'll respond within 60 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
If you're a customer of one of our clients, we'll pass your request to that business and help it respond.
Clients can download their records at any time from their dashboard.
If you'd rather we didn't contact your business about our services, tell us and we'll stop.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and aren't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child's information was provided to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Where it's stored
We're based in the United States and store information here. A few providers, such as the map services, may process limited information, such as an approximate location, in other countries.
11. Changes
If we make a material change, we'll update this page and notify clients by email or in their dashboard before it takes effect. The version date is shown at the top.
